RIOCOCO Builds a Giman Piyasa for Katupotha Hospital

Fulfilling a major requirement at Katupotha regional B hospital, a newly built Giman pyasa (resting hut) both for patients who come to receive treatments at the Out Patients Department(OPD) and who attend clinics and for visitors who come to see esidential patients at the hospital was declared open recently.

Riococo Lanka (Pvt) Ltd in Katupotha funded the new ‘Giman piyasa’as yet another of its social responsibility initiatives at a cost of Rs.400,000.00.

Mr. Susantha Shan Halamba, the company’s Chairman, graced the occasion. The ceremonial opening was attended by Rev.Piyarapane Sumangala thero, the chief prelate of Thelibewa Shri Shyalathalaramaya temple, Mr.T.M.C.N Bandara, the Chief Medical Officer and Hospital Staff, Mr. Sarath S. Rathnayake, Chairman- Hospital Development Committee, Mr. P. Jayalath, the committee secretary and some representatives from the committee along with a few representatives from Riococo management.
